I have always loved the old-fashioned crazy quilts made with the scraps of fabrics and cutoffs from the garment sewing. To have a similar look in my quilt, I used string pieces blocks for the baskets and hand appliqued the handles. The background is made with organic cutting and piecing of freeform crazy blocks.
Yardage and instructions are guidelines for the improvisational crazy quilt. Adjustment with fabric is expected during the process. Results may vary from person to person.
